past life regression therapy

For all of you curious about past life regression hypnosis (PLR), I am hoping this blog post will help to answer some of those questions and clarify what you know or still wonder about. Maybe you’re a skeptic or maybe you believe you’ve been here before or maybe you just want to know what past life regression therapy is all about. Or maybe you think once it’s over, it’s over. Hoping what I write will give you some clarity.

Hypnosis and past lives: what is PLR and how does it work?

Let’s start with you and your possible previous life connections.

  • Have you had a fascination with a certain period in history?
  • Do you have an irrational fear that’s not connected to anything in your present life?
  • Are there body ailments that your doctor is unable to find a physical cause?
  • Do you have an affinity for people, places or things that have no relation to your life now?
  • Have you been called an old soul?
  • As a child, did you ever refer to another home or family as being yours?

PLR is based on the theory that we are reincarnated. We have been here before; the soul survives death to be re-born in a new body with an opportunity to learn life’s lessons. You may wonder about your past lives and think you were Cleopatra and you just want to find out if that is the case. But PLR is more than that; we have ‘contracts’ from previous lives that carry through to this life in order for us to learn and grow and ultimately fulfill that contract.

When we talk about Karma, that is what past lives are to this life. It is our Karmic debt that we owe from previous lives to rectify this time around. Karma has a funny way of catching up to us and if we keep making the same mistakes, if we don’t address them now, they will find us in the next life.

Our cells contain knowledge and memory of what we experience in this life but also from past lives and by accessing cell memories through the subconscious mind, we can address those traumas and pain. This way, we can bring them to the conscious awareness, and release that which is holding us back.

During a past-life regression session, hypnosis is used to uncover past life memories and occurrences. Many phobias and ailments are rooted in experiences and occurrences from the past. For example, if someone has a fear of heights, it might be because they died while falling from a high place in a previous life. The acknowledgement by the patient can have a healing effect and a positive impact in their overall mental health.

As children, because they have not been influenced by life experiences, they are open to recalling past lives. I spoke to a friend once and he told me that his young daughter referred to a particular stream where she used to play ‘before’. She showed him where to go and sure enough, there it was- my friend was shocked. I was not. This is very common actually it’s just that adults are quick to negate and dismiss those thoughts as being silly or weird.

Relationships also have a karmic energy to them. When we have strong feeling toward others, either negative or positive, these are people who we have known before. What issues did we have together in a past life that we have brought to the here and now? How can they help us repair now any damage caused then? How can we improve our relationships based on what we experienced in the past?

I once worked with a woman who experienced her being on stage in a white diaphanous dress performing for an audience in the early 1900’s. She also became spirit as she hovered above the earth, no body, no mind, just spirit. She said it was the most peaceful she ever felt.

Past life hypnosis is an extraordinary form of therapy that enables us to experience our past lives, connect with our selves now, have a better understanding as to why we do what we do or feel a certain way or how to recover from trauma. It can be quite emotional as well.

Aside from being a past life regression therapist, I’ve experienced PLR therapy sessions myself. The experience helped me through a difficult time; to understand my life as it is now and make those changes needed to release my karmic debt (still more debt to release!).

We all have our lessons to learn and PLR can help us do that.
