My Hypnotherapy Services: How I Can Help You

Online Hypnotherapy Sessions

Virtual hypnotherapy is a great way to do our work together as being in the comfort of your own space without the constraints of travel and time provides another way you can relax while we do our session. For online hypnosis, a quiet place to avoid any disturbances and a good internet connection are recommended.

Our first session will be a bit longer than normal since we will need a few minutes to get set up. We then spend some time talking about your issues and goals and how you’d like hypnotherapy to help you. For example, does your subconscious respond better to direct or indirect suggestions? Do you prefer a more maternal or paternal approach?

I will understand in greater detail after we speak. And then the fun begins — after gentle guidance, I will put you into a hypnotic state, speak to you, and offer suggestions that have come from your own language. Your conscious and subconscious mind will process this more effectively while in a state of hypnosis (high suggestibility), and changes can happen organically.

After I bring you out of the hypnotic state, we’ll talk about how you feel and I’ll give you some post-hypnotic suggestions to help you during the week. It’s best to have at least 3 – 6 sessions in order to see those changes take hold.

In-Person Sessions

In-person sessions: Although at the moment I do not offer in-person sessions, I will in the future when it is safe to do so. In-person is always a great way to do my hypnosis as it is a bit more personal being 1 on 1 with my clients. Having them in the same room brings a different kind of energy to the session that could be more personal since we can see each other face to face.

Both in-person and virtual are equally productive and impactful, just in different ways.

Testimonials

“Reaching out to Janet and having her help me get to the root of both of my issues, procrastination and inability to say NO has changed my life so much. Janet has an ability to pick out the tiniest things that I just didn’t see and her calming voice as she guided me though my hypnosis was so relaxing. It was something I had never experienced before and it works! In no time I was seeing things differently. I was able to say NO and not have that horrible feeling of guilt. I was able to lay out a daily plan and follow through which brought me so much peace and a feeling of fulfillment and the end of the day.
I’m so glad I took that leap and contacted Janet because I now understand hypnosis and what a difference it can make in a person’s life. I would advise anyone if your stuck and feel you need guidance to reach out to Janet Goldman because there’s no reason to have another bad day.”
– Marie Louise E.
“I have gone to Janet for over a decade for hypnosis and she has been my career coach for even longer.  As creative, and highly sensitive person, navigating as an employee in the corporate environment has been the source of many difficult situations that I needed and sought out other remedies or solutions to how to ease and manage these experiences.

Janet, first hand understands how companies and management operates, she has a gift of cutting out the noise and helps a person get to the root of the issue(s) and guide(s) you to face and calmly take the issue(s) head on and independently.  She focuses, listens carefully and with her steady voice relaxes and takes you deep within your unconscious.  Her hypnosis has helped me both professionally and in my personal relationships. I highly recommend her!”
– Juliet

We have worked together many times and I can honestly say, after each session, I am more in tune and focused on what the hypnosis was centered on. I have used it for getting back into a workout routine, managing my anxiety, working through difficult situations and just overall well-being.

Janet is patient, listens and then caters the hypnosis to your needs. Plus – she has the perfect voice and speaking cadence for the practice. Definitely recommend!”

Stress

Stress has a debilitating effect on so many of us on a daily basis. Through the use of hypnosis, we can learn new ways of coping to help eliminate or lessen the impact of stress and anxiety on our lives.

Fears and Anxieties

We all experience these powerful emotions. Through the power of the subconscious, hypnosis works by providing strategies to deal with issues such as anxiety, phobias, depression, or fear, and drive you toward what you want, not away from it.

Managing Pain

Acute and chronic pain take different forms and are treated differently. Hypnotherapy sessions are commonly used to help patients manage and reduce pain without the unwanted side effects of painkillers.

Smoking Cessation

Understanding the motivation behind your smoking habit, triggers, and fears about quitting, are all factors to best know which direction to take when undergoing hypnosis for smoking cessation.

Eating and Weight Issues

It’s not just about nutrition and physical activity; for people to permanently change their eating habits, we must understand what is going on inside emotionally, physically, and mentally. Hypnosis can help make those changes happen more easily and naturally.

Sleep Disorders

Sleep is a precious commodity that we need in order to recharge our batteries and vent out our issues and experiences of the day through dreams. Poor sleep quality negatively affects all areas of our lives, including our mental health.

Past Life Regresion (PLR)

past life regression sessions

Past life regression therapy helps to understand the source of emotional issues or traumatic events, and teaches how you can live a more fulfilling daily life.

Hypnosis Myths and Misconceptions

Let’s take a moment to clear up some popular myths and misconceptions about hypnosis.

I Can't Be Hypnotized.

Once you understand that everyone can be hypnotized, you can focus on how you can be. A trance state actually happens naturally many times during the day; either when you are in a deep state of relaxation such as practicing yoga or mindfulness, or hyper-focused on a task or situation.

What If I Never Come Out Of A Trance?

This is a misnomer. Anyone who undergoes hypnosis is always in control of their body and mind. There’s no need to worry about losing yourself in hypnosis or not coming back to consciousness. Even in a deep trance state, there will always be outside reality to awaken you.

Is Hypnosis Mind Control?

I can’t make you do anything you consciously wouldn’t do. I won’t make you bark like a dog or quack like a duck. I am not a stage hypnotist, and this is not a stage act – I am here to help and heal people. During a hypnosis session, you will not lose control of your mind or senses. Your conscious mind acts as a filter and rejects suggestions that don’t make sense to you.

During Hypnosis I Will Have No Memory Of The Session.

During hypnosis, you may drift off consciously in your own thoughts while your subconscious is still absorbing the suggestions. Hypnosis is not an unconscious mind state and you may not remember everything I’ve said but you will be aware and alert upon waking with an overall understanding of the experience.

Hypnosis Will Make Me Tell You My Secrets.

Hypnosis isn’t a truth serum and I cannot force you to “tell the truth” or to confess your secrets. Everyone has free will when they go into a hypnotic state. Throughout all stages of hypnosis, your conscious mind acts as a protection against external influences. You have complete control over what you say or don’t say.

Do I Need To Find A Hypnotherapist Near Me?

I’ve heard this question from clients many times “do I need to find hypnotherapy near me?” – the concrete answer is: no. Virtual hypnotherapy sessions are just as effective as in-person, and you don’t need leave the comfort of your home, or find time to “go somewhere” in order to attend your hypnotherapy session.

Is Hypnotherapy A Safe And Effective Treatment Option?

Yes, hypnotherapy is a safe and effective treatment option when conducted by a trained and qualified hypnotherapist. It can help with a variety of issues, including anxiety, phobias, smoking cessation, and weight management. Hypnotherapy be used in conjunction with traditional medical treatment and psychotherapy, such as cognitive behavioral therapy.
